"My evil genius, Procrastination, has whispered me to tarry 'til a more convenient season." -Mary Todd Lincoln
I have heard it said that procrastination is the thief of time, and for the past six years, I have
unwittingly disregarded this vacuous parcel of internet real estate, with complete intention to one day
begin this modern expression of personal identity called, "blogging."
I could say that I have simply been too busy to divert my attention to its care, but the truth is that I
have had time and chose instead to waste countless hours scrolling through my Facebook news feed.
Although I truly believe that writing is the key to understanding oneself through communicative
liberation, the fact remains that I am a typical lazy American. I could say that this being the first
month of 2016 I intend to resolve to attend to my blog more frequently, but I'd rather not make a
commitment even to myself that I may not possibly follow. Instead, I will simply take my first step
upon the path today and see where the rabbit hole takes me.
I can only hope that this year offers greater opportunities for happiness than the last, as well as
better health and greater wealth. Though I am still unsure of which direction this journal will
ultimately decide to take, I look forward to watching it unfold and reveal all the hidden truths that
I encounter along the way.
